The tree oyster mushroom has always been a popular object for mushroom hunters.
First cultivated in Germany and Hungary, but now commercially around the world.

Natural habitat: North America and Europe, growing on beech, maple, willow, birch, elm, poplar, actually all the hardwood.

For fast results, grow them on straw in the cold months, ratio 20% rye-spawn/dry straw.

Time of fruiting: Autumn and Winter
